Privacy Policy
Kincy Heavy Industries Corporation ("KHI", "we", "us") runs kincyindustries.com. This policy says what happens to personal information that reaches us through the site. It is short because the site collects very little.
The short version
- The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and carries no advertising or third-party trackers.
- There are no forms. The only personal information we hold is what you choose to send us when you write to us, and the correspondence that follows.
- We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for targeted advertising, and we do not profile anyone.
What the site itself handles
Delivery and security. The site is served from our own server through Cloudflare, which carries the traffic and protects the site from attack. To do that, Cloudflare processes the technical details of each request: your IP address, your browser's user agent string, the page or file you asked for and the time you asked for it. If the site fails to load, Cloudflare may ask your browser to report the network error so the problem can be found. Our own server does not keep a record of visits.
Fonts, code and media. Everything the site needs, including its fonts, scripts, 3D models and film, is served from kincyindustries.com. The page makes no requests to anyone else.
Cookies and browser storage
The site sets no cookies. It keeps two small values in your browser, and neither is ever sent to us:
khi-motionremembers your choice if you press the MOTION button to turn animation off or on. It stays until you clear your browser's site data.khi-introlets the opening animation play once per visit. It is held in session storage and disappears when you close the tab.
Beyond those two values, the site stores nothing on your device apart from your browser's ordinary cache of its pages and files. Because these values only carry out a choice you made or keep the page working, they need no consent banner.
What you send us
If you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to write. Our email provider processes those messages on our behalf.
Why we hold it, and for how long
We use what you send to answer you, to work out whether a partnership, pilot or engineering collaboration makes sense, and to keep ordinary records of who we have talked to. We do not use it for anything else, and we make no automated decisions about you.
We keep an enquiry while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, normally no more than two years. Records of work we are actually engaged for are kept as long as tax and contract law requires. If you ask us to delete your correspondence sooner, we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Who else sees it
The people at KHI who need to, and no one else. Beyond them, Cloudflare delivers the site and our email provider hosts our mail; both act for us as service providers. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We have no advertising partners.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information about you, and tell you what it is
- send you a copy of it in a portable format
- correct it
- delete it
- stop using it
Send a request through the Contact KHI link. We will answer within 45 days. If we need longer, we will tell you why within those 45 days, and take no more than another 45. We will not treat you differently for asking, and we do not charge for a request.
Texas residents. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act gives you the rights above by name, together with the right to opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising and profiling. We do none of those things, so there is nothing to opt out of. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our answer and asking us to reconsider. We will respond to an appeal within 60 days and explain our decision. If the appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to the Office of the Texas Attorney General.
Residents of other states and countries with similar laws have the same rights, and we apply them to everyone rather than ask where you are writing from.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
The site does not follow you across other websites and does not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. We honor both by not doing the thing in the first place.
Children
This is a business website. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, contact us and we will delete it.
Where your information goes
We operate from the United States. If you write to us from outside the United States, your message will be processed there. Cloudflare serves the site from data centers around the world.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, and our server runs it read-only. No arrangement is perfect, which is why we hold as little as we can.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A material change will be described here rather than made quietly.
